WP6 Dynamic Risk Management

The overall aim of work package 6 Dynamic risk management is to develop and demonstrate different approaches of dynamic risk management in order to optimize the investments for a safe and clean Baltic Sea.

Advancing from conventional risk assessment to dynamic risk management will facilitate ship traffic control in an efficient way. This will reduce the number and severity of accidents leading to pollution of the marine environment, loss of human lives and hampering of welfare development.

The main outcome of the WP6 is to improve maritime traffic control by using efficient technologies. The technologies both facilitate improved management of risks associated with increased maritime traffic while being highly user-centred.
