The EfficienSea project started almost three years ago and it is soon time to wrap it up. The EfficienSea project - short for Efficient, Safe and Sustainable Traffic at Sea - is dedicated to common solutions for the benefit of the Baltic Sea region, EU and the international maritime community. The "Staying Focused" conference is all about what can be done to fine-tune the results and possible future scenarios.
The conference is held at the Meriton Grand Conference & Spa Hotel next to the old town in Tallinn, Estonia.
On 21 September the event is open for the public with presentations of the project results within the four different themes of the project: Recruitment and Competences, e-Navigation, Vessel Traffic Data & Maritime Planning, and Dynamic Risk Management.
The afternoon session includes key note speakers and a panel discussion on the relevance of the project result to the maritime community and the Baltic Sea region.
22 September is dedicated to internal workshops within each of the four thematic work packages. Detailed programme will be published in August. The conference is closed with a dinner at the Estonian Open Air Museum.
As for the EfficienSea Management Board, there is a separate meeting day on 20 September and a closing meeting on 22 September, special invitation required.
