October 3rd, the Danish Queen signed a Royal Decree forming a new government, featuring a number of changes to the Danish governmental structure and the Danish maritime sector.

 

 

One of these changes is a decision to close down the Danish Maritime Safety Administration, and to split its areas of responsibilities between four different ministries. The responsibility for EfficienSea is now decided to be moved from the Defense to the Ministry of Business and Growth. The Lead Partner and Work package leader for e-Navigation is thus now the Danish Maritime Authority.

 

 

The Danish Maritime Authority is the national representative in IMO, which gives us new opportunities to influence IMO directly together with our peer national representatives in the project.
